China Continues to Study Ginseng Benefits

You would think an herb that has been used for thousands of years wouldn’t need a lot more research to determine its benefits. People have used ginseng, for example, as a healthy herb which promotes general well-being for many centuries. Obviously ginseng is not a “fad” herb that was ‘discovered’ by today’s culture of youth.

What has changed over the years is the fact science can now do detailed research at the cellular level and that was not possible five, two, or one thousand years ago. Studies around the world are being conducted to prove or disprove the benefits of ginseng using current medial technology.

Even China, where the herb was first recognized as having antiaging benefits in ancient times (though they probably didn’t use the term ‘anti-aging’), continues to do medical studies on ginseng. The news coming from these studies is that ginseng may have even MORE benefits than believed before. For example, it is currently being studied as a treatment to reduce coronary artery disease symptoms.

Using ginseng can help your heart and your immune system. No wonder it’s been used for so many years…even before people truly understood what was happening in their bodies.
